Hey, I'm Lucas, I'm a full time student at Fanshawe College pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Digital Marketing. In my free time, you can usually find me playing disc golf, baseball, or in a basement/cave developing a website.
Since I've started the pursuit of my digital marketing degree, I've had the pleasure of exploring multiple specializations outside school. Such as SEO and SEM for The Mudmen's website, analytics and content marketing for The St. Thomas Chamber of Commerce, and social media marketing for the Great Lakes International Airshow & Fanshawe College.

My main responsibilities involved orchestrating daily content creation for the Instagram and Snapchat platforms. This involved capturing photos, creating graphics, and storytelling. While working for Fanshawe I restructured their Instagram content to align with organizational objectives, which lead to a 100% increase in the Instagram follower growth rate. Aside from content creation & curation, I also analyzed all sub-branded social media accounts at the College, and drafted social media audits providing recommendations for improvements and a situation analysis.
I developed a website for an international Celtic rock band, The Mudmen. Achieved a bounce rate under 5.5% (industry standard 33%), and ranked on the first page for SERP in many relevant keywords (51% organic search aquisition). Worked with multiple domains, and handled online transactions for their band merchandise.
The Chamber of Commerce was my first CO-OP placement through Fanshawe College. While working for them I helped develop monetization options for their website, creating up to $10,000 in additonal revenue opportunities. I also got the chance to work with Google Analytics and membership surveys to build reports and summarize the information into presentable documents. I helped manage a database of over 500 members, and introduced multiple new website features to increase engagement with the Chamber of Commerce members. Additionally, I created email marketing campaigns, and created content for their weekly newsletter and monthly magazine.
I ran the social media accounts across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. On those accounts I published photos, videos, and live videos, reaching over 14,000 people. During my time volunteering for the airshow, the engagement increased by over 2,000% on Facebook, with an average engagement percentage of 30% across all my posts.
